Flavonoids Fight Obesity & Inflammation

In the May 2017 issue of the journal Nutrition & Diabetes, a small but important study appeared in the “Short Communications” section. That study showed evidence that the amount of daily flavonoid intake was inversely associated with the risk of obesity as well as the inflammatory burden associated with obesity. That means when flavonoid intake is high, the risk of obesity is lower and the inflammatory burden that obesity puts on the body is also reduced.
